
Motorists in Dubai should prepare for significant road closures on Sunday, February 23, 2025, due to the L’Étape Dubai Cycling Race 2025. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced that several key roads will be temporarily closed between 6:30 am and 10:30 am to facilitate the event.
Roads Affected:
- Oud Metha Road: Closed from 6:30 am to 10:30 am.
- Dubai-Al Ain Road: Closed from 6:30 am to 10:30 am.
- Sheikh Zayed Bin Hamdan Road: Closed from 6:30 am to 10:30 am.
- Expo Road: Closed from 6:30 am to 10:30 am.
- Lahbab Street: Closed from 6:30 am to 10:30 am.
The 100 km race will commence at Dubai Design District and conclude at Expo City. To minimize disruptions, the RTA advises motorists to plan their journeys in advance, start early, and consider alternative routes such as Ras Al Khor Road and Emirates Road. Traffic flow will resume promptly after the event concludes.
